A Proms in the Park concert

The programme for this year will be based around film music and The Last Night of the Proms. The first half will have medleys from Mama Mia, Wizard of Oz and operatic pieces used in films such as Nessun Dorma that has been used in multiple film scores. The second half will be along the traditional lines of Last Night of the Proms with Sea Shanties, Rule Britannia and Jerusalem. This year we are delighted to present: 2 professionally trained opera singers from the Royal Welsh College of music and drama; the Marshfield Women's Institute choir; a number of local children's choirs; and music provided by the Newport Community Orchestra.
Please make an effort to encourage your friends and family to support this event. Bring your Welsh flags, seats and rugs, and enjoy the mix of traditional and contemporary arrangements in comfort.
